Denise McPherson

Denise MacPherson is the President of SDMAC Properties Inc., a real estate investment company with a focus on lease-to-own and multi-family rental properties, formed to provide quality affordable housing while offering an exceptional rate of return for their investors.

Born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, she has lived in Windsor, Sudbury, London, and Cornwall, Ontario, and spent a wonderful year in St. Lucia W.I., before settling in Ottawa in 1994. Denise comes from a teaching background and also trained as a professional make-up artist and has since built a very successful cosmetics and image consulting business.

She retired in early 2010 from her position with the federal government after 20 years of public service.

Attending a 2-hour Rich Dad real estate presentation in late 2009 reignited a long-time interest in real estate investments. She has since attended real estate courses with Tigrent Learning (formerly WIA, teachings of Rich Dad Robert Kiyosaki), has joined the Ottawa Real Estate Investors Organization (OREIO) and the Real Estate Investment Network (REIN).

Since the new year, she is hands-on, making plenty of offers, learning from each experience and is building a portfolio of single and multi-family properties. As a relatively new investor, Denise appreciates the opportunities offered through working with a network of like-minded individuals, and looks forward to helping other investors in her role as the 2010 OREIO Membership Coordinator.

Denise and her husband Stuart live in Orleans. They are the proud parents of four grown children and three grandchildren.
