Like many others, Shannon Pearcy discovered real estate investing from reading Robert Kiyosaki's book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". She joined OREIO shortly afterward, in March 2009, in order to further her education on the subject. Having since read innumerable books and taken the Spirepoint training program, she recently decided it was time to jump in and test the waters. She's now learning the in's and out's of property management first-hand with her first 3 units--a duplex and a condo--and is looking forward to furthering her education as a member of the OREIO executive.

As a young professional, Shannon Pearcy has an extensive career in formal education with a BA in International Relations and a BSc in Computing Science. She has been a member of the Canadian Forces since 2006 and works in advanced communications.
