Ashraf Arif is a graduate form Dalhousie University with a Computer Science Degree and a former banker with CIBC. He began his Real Estate investing career in 1999. He began to buy single homes along with multifamily properties and quickly advanced to buying larger investment properties. He focused on purchasing run-down properties that were poorly managed with a non desirable tenant base; and then overhauedl the property completely, turning them into a high quality properties, which generate an excellent cash return.
Throughout this process, he encountered a large number of frustrated investors that not only had a hard time handling the day to day operation of their property, but also had a hard time making their property work as an investment. His personal experience combined with his passion for real estate helped him to establish a property management company in Feb, 2001. Today, AEI (Arif Enterprises Inc) manages over 500 units in Ottawa and surrounding areas. They are rapidly growing in the Ottawa real estate market and have recently opened Synercapital Real Estate Services Inc, a new Real Estate Company. Ashraf's claim to fame has been his success in finding the right investment property and then managing them well.
