*** CACTUS SPAM *** Tax Reduction for Capital Gains (real estate)

We are also taking advantage of Synergy.  This is our first year but it promises to be very good.  The sooner in the year you get into it the better.  I'm pretty sure our accountant also told us we could go back in time with it but not sure how long.  Forward too I believe.

Raf,

Check out Synergy 2000. We've used it to get rid of a large capital gain
last year ($300k). I think it works with any income even back 3 years.

Subject: [OREIO] Tax Reduction for Capital Gains (real estate)

Greetings OREIO members,

I'm new to the group and have a question about taxes. I have a
serious tax issue this year! Here's the situation: I've got a well
paying job that puts me in the highest tax bracket. I've also sold 3
investment properties this year with a total capital gain of around
440k. Only 50% is taxable, so it will increase my taxable income by
220k. The max I can put into RRSP is 19k, which doesn't help much.
My accountant is really good at crunching numbers, but he's shy on tax
reduction strategies.

Does anyone know of any legit tax strategies or a good tax planning
accountant/lawyer. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I'm in
Toronto.

Thanks,
Raf (rafmoscoso@yahoo. com)
