OREIO elections and executive duties

Hi everyone,

As you may know, at our upcoming April meeting we will be having our annual elections to vote in the new executive for the coming year.  All current paid-up OREIO members who attend April’s meeting are eligible to vote and run for a position.

At the end of our next meeting, we will take 15 minutes to elect the next executive.  If only one candidate is interested in a position, they will automatically obtain a seat on the executive.  All interested candidates will have 30-60 seconds to speak about why members should vote for them. The process is very casual and effective at the same time.

All interested candidates must send in their names to me by private email by Friday, April 17th.  We require this so we may properly plan for the number of candidates who will present their campaign speeches at the meeting.

Here are some of the benefits from joining the executive.
