Hi,
As this year's Executive winds up their term it is time to start advertising for new volunteers. While I have already had one person step forward to run for the position of Speaker Coordinator, I wanted to take the opportunity to put in a plug for "THE MOST FUN POSITION" on the committee!
As the Speaker Coordinator you get to work with both the President as well as other members on the Exec. Committee to set the format for the new year. You get to create a plan for topics and potential speakers, and then you get to "Network" with lots of people to secure the best speakers you can for the membership.
As well, I was able to work on my "fear of public speaking" by taking this position on. You have all good-naturedly suffered through my personal journey of over-coming this fear which has allowed me to grow and learn to be comfortable in front of a room full of people.
So, if you are looking for an opportunity to grow personally as well as get a chance to meet some real-estate professionals, and use your creativity in providing interesting meetings to the membership, then THIS is the position for you!
