Next Meeting - MONDAY, May 10, 2010

Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that our next Members meeting will take place on Monday, May 10th at the Travelodge Hotel on Carling Ave. Networking begins at 6:45 pm and the meeting starts at 7 pm.

We've got a packed Agenda for Monday's meeting beginning with a much-requested presentation on how and what to renovate in an investment property.

The Executive is delighted to announce, back by popular demand, Spirepoint’s very own Paul Blacquiere, who will share with us everything there is to know about rehabbing. Every month we receive feedback from members stating, “We’d like to learn more about rehabs – what to do, what not to do...” So, you asked for it, you got it! Don’t miss this month’s meeting featuring Paul Blacquiere and Rehabbing 101!

Paul Blacquière started his real estate investing education in his early 20s and has been an active investor since 2002. He has extensive experience with managing multi-family investment properties, major renovation projects, flips, joint venture investments, and private RRSP mortgage financing. You'll want to hear what Paul has to say about renovating investment properties.

After the break, you will be voting on our first-ever By-Laws and choosing a new Executive for the coming year. This is a very important job that we undertake at this time every year and it will affect the group for the next twelve months so be sure to come out and make your vote count! If you're interested in running for a position on the Executive, you still have time. Please email your name, contact information and the position that interests you to our V-P Steve Ott at vp@oreio.org.

On Wednesday, May 5th you will find our proposed By-Laws and the Executive Handbook posted on OREIO's website so check them out.

Don't forget that we always give away lots of door prizes at the end of every meeting. So come out in large numbers on Monday, learn some great information and participate in the creation of next year's Executive. I hope to see you all there.

Have a great week,

Doris Belland
