I have a long time trusted friend who has been in contact with an agent in Florida who he met on a business trip about a decade ago. This agent knows her stuff and has been sending emails on great rental deals she finds in good neighbourhoods, since they met.

For those with the plan to retire in Florida, why not buy your house now (at the cheapest levels in decades) and rent it?

For any long distance purchase, I would also have to recommend that you travel there on a semi-regular basis and establish a team of trusted professionals.

In short, I have a contact who seems to understand the basic concept of positive cashflowing rental properties for anyone who may be considering buying in that state.

For me, this is viewed as an individual doing this an not a "team" who are marketing to specific groups.
