Heated flooring and hardwood installation

Hello,

I'm looking to have a heated floor put into a basement as well as hardwood installed in several rooms. My favorite hardwood installer will be gone on holiday at the moment that I need these jobs done so I'm reaching out to see if you can recommend good contractors/installers. I care about details so I'm looking for contractors who are good at the finishing details. With respect to the heated floor, I'm looking for someone who has had experience with this type of floor and can make knowledgeable recommendations.

Dear Doris

The last hardwood floors we had installed were by Judd Construction. We found them through Logs End - the local reclaimed wood company. They did a nice job of the install, patching into the existing floors and refinishing everthing.
What kind of heating are you planning? If you are planning radiant, call Dave at Francis Plumbing (825-3427). He is the only guy I use for this work. There many options and price points with this stuff. He is away later this week, but will he be back next week.
If you are looking at the electric systems, they are very straight forward to install. Any good electrican and contractor can install them. I put them in on a regular basis for my clients
