As an active Real Estate Investor and Business owner, Carol Garrett has been involved with Real Estate from many angles for over 7 years.  Having purchased 52 properties in 5 years while being directly involved with the managing of the properties, tenants and maintenance, Carol Garrett has had the privilege to learn what it means to be an ethical landlord and business owner.

With over 25 years in the renovation industry, Carol Garrett started in 2003 flipping homes until the market went flat. Armed with knowledge of the” Buy and Hold” model, Carol started to rent out her flips getting 15 to 25% higher then average rents due to the great renovations.  Carol has modified some of the rental renovations over the years learning that strategic renovations pay “big time” in rental income, even in slow markets.

Carol Garrett’s understanding of the tenant as a client and having to maintain her own properties in many communities, certain principals of property management have become a way of business.  With low tenant turnover and higher than average rents, Carol’s port-folio is flourishing, even in slow markets like Windsor.

Carol Garrett and team operate Garrett Construction Ltd, specializing in rental property renovations. Carol along with Donna Collins, operates Fine Landlord Services, a Property Management company specializing in single family homes and executive suites.

Carol Garrett is a Board Member of The Hamilton Apartment Association, member of Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and Toronto Board of Trade, while being an active member of REIN for almost 6 years.
