John Dickie shared this with us as an update to what has been going on with the City of Ottawa Rental Housing Management By-law which is to come into force on August 31, 2021 (one year from now).

This new bylaw has additional requirements for landlords in terms of documentation and ensuring tenant expectations but it also improves the onus on tenants to support proper maintenance including pest control and garbage disposal.
