Insurance broker recommendations?

    I agree. I used to use BLF Insurance for my home and they were bought by BrokerLink. After the acquisition, I just found their access to products went down. I just moved my house from BrokerLink (who used Chubb to underwrite) to DesJardins and saved about $3000. That includes Earth Quake coverage.

    For my Commercial Res properties I go through MyCor which has the best rates I have yet to see. They underwrite directly for Arch. 

    For my commercial non-res, I used Oegema Nicholson here in town.

    Update:  I was with Brokerlink, but they were no longer able to offer coverage that included water damage or earthquake.  I ended up going with Economical, through OTIP, which I'm a member of.  Good coverage at a better rate than I was offered through Brokerlink.
