Join us for our first OREIO event of the year on January 14th 2026!

On January 14th we will welcome Bilal Baig, our keynote motivational speaker. Bilal is here to help us reset, refocus, and strengthen our mindset for the year ahead. As real estate investors, we know success isn’t just about deals and numbers—it starts with how we think, act, and show up when challenges arise. Bilal brings powerful insight on building resilience, clarity, and momentum as we step into a new year of opportunity. Please join us in welcoming Bilal Baig to inspire us to think bigger, stay motivated, and take intentional action in the year ahead.

BILAL BAIG is a writer, actor and producer for stage and screen. Baig’s theatrical works include her first play, Acha Bacha, which had its world premiere production in 2018 followed by a 2020 publication and subsequently nominated for the Writer's Trust Dayne Ogilvie Prize. Other published work include: an anthology of monologues she co-edited for queer/trans artists titled This Is Beyond (2023), and an interactive choose-your-own-adventure play for pre-teens, Eraser (2025). Baig’s upcoming theatre project, Kainchee Lagaa & Jhooti: The Begging Brown Bitch Plays will premiere at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in April 2026. Baig was the co-creator, co-showrunner, executive producer and lead actor of the Peabody Award-winning series Sort Of (2021-2023) from CBC, Sphere Media and Max. Baig received a nomination for Outstanding Performance in a New Series at the 2022 Gotham Awards, and won Best Comedy Series, Best Comedy Writing and Best Lead Performance - Comedy at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards. Baig is the creative director of House of Beida Inc., her own independent company that has supported initiatives such as: Trans Gemmes (performance and creation development program for transfemme artists of colour from 2019-2021), Paprika Festival’s Playwrights Unit (which Baig facilitated from 2019-2023), and a creative writing program for trans youth (ages 10-13) in collaboration with non-profit literacy org, Story Planet.
