Topic: Exploring the Housing Design Catalogue for Repeatable Infill Projects

The Housing Design Catalogue includes "near permit-ready" standardized designs for multiplexes, stacked townhouses and detached accessory dwelling units to help communities speed up approvals, build faster and provide more housing options in our existing neighbourhoods. Daniel Rubinstein, Advisor, Housing Policy & Programs, CMHC, will provide an overview of the Ontario region designs and resources including construction cost estimates and site design examples, and how municipalities are supporting the Catalogue through pre-reviewed plans and pathways for repeat builds.


Daniel's Bio:

Daniel Rubinstein is an Advisor for Housing Policy & Programs at CMHC. As co-lead for the Housing Design Catalogue, Daniel works closely with federal, provincial, territorial and municipal partners to increase adoption of standardized designs, and supports CMHC's Municipal Relations team and the Housing Accelerator Fund to unlock missing middle housing and gentle density through land use reform and streamlined review and approvals.
