We had a good turn out and the entire meeting was about 11 hours. We wrapped up around 8pm. 

Unfortunately, we could only convince 3 of the 8 councilors to support our position. To be honest, I was surprised we got 3 as the mayor has been putting a lot of pressure on council to support the staff recommendation. 

We have a working group looking at next steps including last minute lobbying ahead of the Nov 27th council vote. An appeal is also being planned.

For all those who do STR today, this is a very serious issue that will absolutely affect your business. You need to take the time to read the recommendations and give your input to Victor. 

I will also be present as speaker #20. 

Bylaw is using their defined 3 tests for both LTR and STR. Namely: Quality, Availability and Affordability. 

For STR, they have focused on Availability (STR impact to LTR supply) and Quality (impact to neighbours).
