    Happy Saturday everyone!

I agree with Victor that workshops / working groups need to be held for members in addition to the monthly meetings. I call them "events" and I have a tremendous amount of experience and success in organizing all kinds of events.

I am the co-founder, organizer, and host of the annual Ottawa Real Estate Investors Conference. I have been hosting successful Meetups since 2015. I also host an annual and very popular Property Bus Tour. I even host webinars and the occasional pop up meetings on Facebook.

Here is how the events will be held if I'm elected President. This is the formula I've used for several years and it's worked very well.

    - Events won't be held just for the sake of putting on events. I don't like wasting people's time. Events will be held for topics that membership wants and even votes on (I use Survey Monkey quite a bit) like JV, investing in the outskirts, SDUs, or when there are hot topics of the day that members need to know more about. For example, I hosted Coach Houses, Landlord Licencing, LTR and STR regulations, RTA/LTB Meetups and many more because they were hot topics!

    - The speakers we will bring in must provide the attendees with meat and details that can actually be used in their day to day lives and businesses. I call it the No Fluff Guarantee. If you've attended my events before you know what I'm talking about.

    - The topics will be Canadian and Ottawa centered.

    - The events will be held online using platforms like Zoom, EventMobi etc. until COVID-19 dissipates and members are comfortable meeting in large groups again.

    - The members might have to pay to attend the OREIO events when they are held in person. It will depend on the location (rent a room?), duration, materials needed, and possibly food and beverages.

    - One way to increase the membership numbers will be to allow non-members to attend certain events (for a fee or free of charge TBD) and be invited to join OREIO that day.

    - The events will be informal and relaxed :)
