3. Accelerate relationship building with people in the community who can help you. The networking break is a valuable part of the meeting, and the special interest groups can cement relationships with subject matter experts in your specific area of interest.

Over the past five years, we’ve started every meeting with the “Action Takers” segment. I’ve noticed that when we first started this segment, we had two or three people coming up to share. Lately, we consistently get more than a dozen people sharing their success. Not only that, the accomplishments keep getting bigger and bigger. That tells me that OREIO is achieving its objective.
