    +Greatness

OREIO has been a great organization.  It has people which do great and small things.  Things which change our community.  It is ultimately about tenants, economics and lifestyle.

    +10 Years

I have been a member of OREIO for more than ten years.  I have definitely watched it grow from its Travel Lodge days to where it is now; a  unique framework of an institution.  The next growth curve for OREIO will require experience and also pragmatism.  Each executive position comes with 1 vote and 1 voice for discussion.  It is this mosaic of personalities and differences which will improve ORIEO.  That is the ultimate importance of each position.

    +20 Years

I have been working with multiple boards for years.  Some volunteer and some paid.  This board experience is invaluable as is broad, from UNICEF, Skills Canada, CSASA and OCASC, to serving Jericho Road, Bruce House and OCUA Youth.  Any board position requires listening, patience and vision.

Most of my colleagues and members know me for my dry humour and dedication to the projects I do.   I am committed and dedicated to organizing volunteers/membership, completing tasks and also ultimately doing the work required.

    +Modernization

I want to transform this role.  It is a role which requires much more.  It requires knowledge of communications and informatics.  Having a design background, I understand the importance of graphic and language clarity to communicate ideas quickly and to help people learn complex concepts.  Bringing a network of ideas into focus requires attention to detail and a broad sense of underlying vision.    It is always a challenge to capture all the voices and organize a clear picture of what a  group is trying to accomplish. This secretary position is beyond taking the minutes and organizing agendas, it is about clarity and approach.

    My beliefs are simple:

Together let us make a better community.  Ottawa home.

    Thank you for your consideration
