    Rich,

Thank you for all that you have done for the organization. I have been a member for 12+ years and it has been great watching both the organization and you evolve over the years. Your dedication to the organization has not gone unnoticed. After being on the executive myself for a couple of years I know what is involved and have seen your contributions, so kudos to you. I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors. CONGRATS!!

    Hello OREIO members,

First of all, I'd like to congratulate all the winners from last night's election.  I'd also like to congratulate all the candidates who ran.  It was the most active election we've ever had and a very lively campaign, with many varying opinions and ideas regarding the future of OREIO.  I think that's a really good sign because it means OREIO has made an impact on the community.  It's no longer a few people sitting around a table talking about real estate, as it was in the early days.  OREIO is now at a crossroads where it's time to figure out how to move forward under the right structure to become sustainable and effective in changing times.  I think that's an excellent problem to have and a credit to all the people who have actively contributed to OREIO's success over the years.

I served as the President for the past 3 years and feel extremely blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to your success.  Sometimes we forget that being on the OREIO executive is a volunteer position.  Everybody is freely giving their time because they want to make a difference in their community and be around other action takers who inspire them to be better.  The overall success of OREIO is determined by who's on the executive, how well they get along, and their ability to make decisions together.  That can be a challenge when you put a group of random people together who all have different careers, different backgrounds, and often a different way of doing things.  I share this with you because one of the things I'm most grateful for is how well the executive worked together over the past 3 years...  No drama, no fighting, no forceful opinions...  Just results!  We wanted to bring in great speakers, inspire you to take action, and encourage you to get to know each other.

I want to thank you all for your contribution to my success.  When I started at OREIO 10 years ago, I was a TV Producer/Director with 3 properties and no clue what I was doing.  I went home after my first OREIO meeting and was on cloud 9, explaining to my wife Christina that I think this OREIO organization could help us figure out how to create wealth and financial freedom through real estate!  I was super excited, but as I reflect on it now I realize the greatest gift wasn't the knowledge...  It was the people!  It's where I met some of my best friends today.  I learned through them that the real estate of my mind was the secret to mastering wealth and mastering life!  I watched what others were doing right and followed their lead, which always led me to more amazing people, and more amazing opportunities.  I am proud of what I've accomplished over the past 10 years and the relationships I've built.  My wife and I are extremely grateful to have the OREIO community in our lives.

I wish you all the best that life has to offer and just remember...  Failing is the path to success!  Don't be hard on yourself when things don't go as planned.  I know many of you are facing challenging times right now.  Just get up and keep going!  "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."   Words to live by...

As of tomorrow, my president@oreio.org email will be assumed by Victor.  If you want to stay in touch with me please send an email to rich@richdanby.com or add me on Facebook.

Thanks again for all the memories!  I will be cheering you all on!

    To your success,

    Rich Danby
